Formed in 1997 by a team of volunteers, the PE Link Volunteer Network aims to relieve those in need of their emotional and real-life problems through non-emergency services, such as home visits, resources donation, companion services for hospital or clinic visits and caring phone services, etc.
The services provided by volunteers include:
Answering calls from the elderly in Elder Ring service center
Making caring phone calls to the elderly
Promotion and fund-raising
Assisting in promotional work
Visiting elderly persons who are discharged from hospital
Clerical Work
Friends of the Private Home Elderly
Furthermore, in order to help volunteers to master the techniques required for the services, the SCHSA also organises different training courses for them, for example:
Techniques of Communicating with the Elderly
Knowing Our Community Resources
Introduction to the PE Link Service
We also update our volunteer contact list from time to time to keep in touch with them in case of emergency.
We sincerely invite you to join us as a volunteer and show your care and concern for the elderly.
