About The SCHSA

Objects

Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (SCHSA) was founded by a group of passionate citizens in 1996 in response to a tragic incident in which more than one hundred elderly citizens living alone were found unattended deaths during an unexpected cold spell. It is the only non-profit-making charitable organisation in Hong Kong that offers 24-hour Personal Emergency Link Service (PE Link Service)for elderly citizens and people in need.

Beginning with the PE Link Service and the Elder Ring Hotline Service, SCHSA continues to develop various elderly-based services like Mobile Link Service, Tele-health Link and Elder Link to address the different needs of the elderly population.

Our Vision

Senior Citizen Home Safety Association aims to respond to the daily needs of local elderly and to ensure that they are under proper protection and care to realize our vision "Living alone without fear, caring for the elderly is here." We also endeavor to enhance the quality of the lives of elderly by developing and promoting various welfare services.

Missions

  1. To provide 24-hour support and caring service to the elderly.
  2. To respond to both psychological and physiological needs of the elderly through hotline service.
  3. To mobilize the community by establishing a volunteer network that will enhance the well-being of the elderly and create a harmonious living environment for them.
  4. To fill in the service gap and to supplement services for elderly provided by existing resources and to actualize our mission of holistic care by proper referral mechanism.
